Chris Standring Private Sale

It's time for me to pair down to some essentials. My wife and I are trying to move and now is the time to start releasing items that rarely get used these days. With that in mind, I am offering these rather special items of music gear to my immediate followers first. I am happy to personally sign anything if you want me to. I will ship some of the smaller things, but large amps and speakers need to be picked up in person. I'd rather not be responsible for any breakage during shipping. The advantage of that is that we get to meet personally. Cash preferred, but you are welcome to pay with Zelle to secure a sale. Feel free to contact me personally about any of these items. Send an email to chris at chrisstandringmusic.com

American Deluxe Fender Stratocatser

This guitar was made approx 2006, maybe 2007 and recorded on a few of my albums as a rhythm instrument, I can't remember which songs. It has completely noiseless pickups and is in perfect condition.

SOLD!

Benedetto Archtop Guitar

This guitar was custom made for me personally by Robert Benedetto. He made it for me in 1996. It is considered extremely valuable as Bob no longer makes these guitars himself so it is an original. This guitar was the first real quality instrument I played when I first became a recording artist and is on the front cover of my debut album Velvet, recorded in 1998. It was also my guitar of choice on my follow up albums Hip Sway, Groovalicious, Soul Express and Love & Paragraphs. I toured with it extensivley and it is a true vintage great sounding instrument. I retired this guitar when it was valued at too high a price for me to tour with.

Levinson Blade Custom Telecaster, Delta Thinline

I have had this guitar since the late 90's and recorded it on many of my albums as a rhythm guitar, particularly my more funky album tracks. It's got a great gritty funky sound and plays great. It's got a little wear and tear on it but it's good as gold.

SOLD!

Event Precision 6" ASP6 Studio Monitors.

These studio monitors have been my only recording studio monitors since I started producing my own records in 2008. Every album released since Love & Paragraphs were recorded and mixed on these very speakers. They are in perfect working order and I even have a brand new spare Event speaker I am happy to include in case you ever need it. A lot of hit songs emanated from these beautiful speakers.

Quilter Toneblock 202 Amp Head

I purchased this amp a few years ago and frankly never used it. Perhaps just once. I purchased it as a backup to my Acoustic Image amp, but frankly never had the opportunity to use it. It's a great amp capable of super clean and warm overdrive tones. Great recording amp.

Peavey Backstage 50

I went through a short period some years ago collecting solid state amps that had a great clean jazz guitar tone. This was one of them. I've only ever used it in the house. I may have recorded with it I can't remember. But it's a great little jazz guitar amp.

SOLD!

Electrovoice PL DK6 Drum mics

I went through a period of time where I wanted to record live drums in my home recording studio. These were the mics I used to mic up Chris Coleman's drums on my albums Ten, Sunlight & Real Life. I prefer to go to outside studios now to do this, so I'm now letting these wonderful mics go. Perfect condition.

Fender Twin Reverb Amp

I purchased this amp from guitarist Marc Antoine in the mid to late 1990s. The amp was built in 1990. I recntly had it completely overhauled by Greg Leon, one of LA's best amp specialists so it is in top notch playability. It's been gigged a bit so not absolutely pristine aesthetically but sounds and plays like a dream.

Polytone 104 Amp

This is a late 70's era vintage amp and I'm hard pressed to let it go. This model amp was originally manufactured to compete with the Fender series and in fact George Benson played this exact model (not mine) on his album Breezin'. It's an amazing jazz guitar amp and when I bought it it had been sitting in someone's house for years, completely unused so it's in incredible condition. I have never played a gig with it, just had it in my studio to practice. I recently had it completely overhauled by Steve Ferry who used to make these amps for Polytone back in the day. This is a collector's dream.

Seismic Audio Studio Snake Cable 16 x 8 x 50

Back when I recorded drums in my home studio I needed this cable to run from my recording desk through to the drum room in order to mic everything.
